TFT held a meeting with Jetwing Hotels and they have agreed to offer ongoing training (with accommodation) when girls from the state run Institution TFT support, have to leave at 18 years old. This is breaking down age old cultural stigmas, and could be a lifeline to many so called ‘bad girls’ whose perpetrators often await their release. They have little choice other than resorting to criminal activity or prostitution for their survival. Statistics say these abused young girls are 500 times more likely to commit suicide. However, there is more to be done in between as they do not have the confidence or life skills needed to take up such an opportunity.
