Thanks to our family of supporters, countless Sri Lankan children and their families are celebrating their lives together and having the chance of an education and a future. In this newsletter we would like to share news stories specifically about our community led education projects.
TFT works to see an end to the harmful institutionalisation of children, and while we are actively and successfully advocating at government level for systemic childcare reform, we continue to improve the lives of children in orphanages and prepare them for reunification, provide safe shelter, legal support and education for women and girls, and empower single mother entrepreneurs to become sustainable. Most importantly we are helping to keep children fed and educated so they can stay at home in loving families and out of orphanages.
Tourism is vital to Sri Lanka’s economy, and visitor numbers are now soaring to this beautiful paradise island, renowned for its rich cultural tapestry and natural beauty.
